Steven Lim

Well...today was quite a boring day with nothing much out of the ordinary hence I'm gonna talk about something interesting from yesterday! HAHA.

Guess what? *Crowds reply : What?*

When I was on my way home yesterday from the Bishan Library, I saw a guy talking to another person supposedly as a surveyor. I narrowed my eyes and noticed that it was the 'All famous' Steven Lim!

At that point in time, I was totally at loss. I felt like laughing out loud and crying bloody tears at the same time. No offense but, ugh.

Library dangers.

Althought not obvious, there are many dangers lurking in the library..

Take an example from my friend L.(Let's just keep that name as L, I think L wouldn't want to be revealed).

My dear friend L, there was an encounter that I would say scarred her for life. Okay maybe a little exaggerated but...yeah you know what I mean.

Well basically L went to the washroom and apparantly, she left the bag on the chair and took all her valuables with her. It was just a short trip to the restroom but she didn't like to take chances so yeah...

But when she was back, she was devastated. A group of guys that has a very strong China accent have taken over her table and her bag was no where to be found! Poor L, she went all over the place to find her bag, afraid of confronting the group of guys.

Luckily lady luck smiled at her at last and she found her bag in a bin..a not so pretty sight though....oh well take care of your items people!

Good night my blog <3

Thoughts.

(Random photo of me and my elder brother..in Harbin! xD)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been thinking for a long time...about an answer to one of the hardest questions my family asks.

"Why do you dislike this person."

The thought of this person has never ran pass my head before....and it was natural to me to say that I wouldn't take care of him at all..and the thing here is that....I actually didn't hesitate..the answer that came out was so natural as if I'm breathing in air, that when I think back..it actually amused me.

I've been thinking for a long time since than....the first answer that came to me was, "Saying that I dislike this person could make an understatement of the century", and I'm pretty serious about it..I just...can't stand him..the ghost of the past keeps haunting me..

Recently they argued again..and my family were telling me how much I grew into his twisted personality..

I don't get it...I'm afraid..I'm confused....I almost..hate myself for it...
They say that my subconsciousness is causing it..so what are you telling me?
Talk to myself like a retard and convince my subconscious to turn off? I can bet you till the last coin I'd ever earn that that would never work.

Maybe..just maybe...the day when we live in separate places would come soon....I hope that day will come really soon..I'm uncertain...but I think I would like that to happen.

my immortals...
Goodnight twisted me.

Unexpected encounter.

Guess what? I went to the library late this morning as I overslept and I would've sworn that I given up hope on finding a vacant seat, but but!!! I found an ex-classmate studying there and the best thing was that beside him the seat was empty!!! HAHAHA...

Awesome right? =X...but oh well..actually my friend, Louis and I planned to study together..but both of us overslept and tada..he decided to change his mind as there wasn't enough space.....so he didn't come xD...(even though I tried persuading him)

Oh well..so we pretty much caught up with each another on our recent activities and studies and other stuffs...you know, the usual.

Nothing much interesting happened today.....OH OH OH!! I know! I borrowed this book called erm..what was it again..argh...can't remember xD. But it's basically about a green house that GROWS humans!!! How interesting can that be!!

okay...time for me to shower and head to lala land!

Goodnight cute blog!

Sandcastle.

There might be quite a few interpretations out that but here's mine after I watched it (: (Might not be accurate to your taste but yeah)

Well basically this is a very slow paced movie...it's probably gonna disappoint you if you thought that there will be loads of actions in it. The 'Sexual contents' inside are all not that sexual..actually they made me laugh xD...

I won't say so much about what happened but here's what I managed to decipher.."There are still people who have different ideology living discreetly among us, they kept their ideology hidden for the sake of their children and that government might or might not have censored sensitive information so much that the past utopia that was the dreams of many have been long forgotten through generations similar to a sandcastle. A place of ideal home that would be washed away by the tides of time."

In the show the father of En was telling a story of a guy and an utopia in the sea...
What I get from this is that the utopia in the sea refers to the ideology that seems too far away/unreachable/risky/hard to believe, just like the idea of an utopia in the sea.

And that the guy didn't leave for the utopia because he couldn't bear to leave his treasured family members back in the island as they refuse/unwilling to follow him.
Which in this case refers to his father not able to leave his family behind and hence sacrificed his 'utopia'.

Another part of the movie that caught my attention was the hand written message from En's father which mentioned something like, hopefully the child would understand the amount of sacrifice his mum has made for him and stuff...which shows how much his father and mother treasured their ideology but still gave them up/lock it up, for the sake of their son, En.

Another message that caught my attention was the Sandcastle..a dragonfly on top of a sandcastle that might or might not be his father's spirit that En saw when he was 5 years old. In my opinion the Sandcastle refers to the perfect utopia that his father wanted and that when it was on top of it, it's like he has finally made a shape out of that utopia...but slowly..it would be washed away by the tides of time...crumbled.....forgotten.

Just like the movie's title..Sandcastle...they named it as 'Sandcastle' probably because it's an utopia that will never come true..and would be washed away by the tides of water through time..a perfect yet fragile castle that would be swept away by the tides of time. (A perfect yet fragile ideology that would be forgotten in time)

And in the credits, the singing of 'Home' by this guy that I find all so mesmerizing...I can hear waves of the sea...the tides..

After watching this movie and listening to his version of home, I'd made another discovery..maybe he is saying that his home is the utopia that his father has tried to create..

But of course there's a possibility of me reading too much into it...
(The sea, the sound of waves, the 'Sandcastle' appears in my mind.)
I doubt that they added the sound of waves by coincidence..

I hope that what I said made sense to any of you out there reading this (:

Have a nice day.

Sandcastle.

There's a movie that is coming out soon on 26 August...hmm..which is tomorrow!!! No in fact I'm one min away from 26 August hahaha..

And yes! The movie is called Sandcastle!! What a promising name for a movie..so many different intriguing explanations to that name!

Well what caught my attention the most was the song used in the background, 'Home'. No no no, it's not sang by our local star Kit Chan this time round...it's sang by a guy who has a very soothing, mesmerising and simple voice. Yes you heard it, simple..a voice simple yet filled with overwhelming emotions.

While watching the trailer I was literally pulled into it, and I nearly cried. I never felt so attached to any movie before especially just after watching it's trailer. So I've decided that I'm sooooo gonna watch Sandcastle! (Btw I've made a mental note to watch it quite sometime ago hahaha)

Also! I've sang along with the guy's vocals....I've managed to extract the music and his vocals without damaging the quality too much..and tada....
[I couldn't find the clip of the song UGH!!]

Although I think I did the song justice, some of the people around me thinks otherwise but oh well...here you go. Hope you'll enjoy it (:

I will make a review about that movie after I watch it..like yeah...really soon xP.

Aftershock and random stuffs.

Today after my Plant Anatomy and Morphology test, my course mates and I decided to go for a movie.

The movie which we decided to watch was called Aftershock. It's basically about a story of a family that was affected by this major earthquake and how one difficult choice made from someone change some one's life.

Well the rest you'll have to watch it yourself =P.

I really recommend this movie if you are in into tear jerking movies hahaha...
(I couldn't hold my tears and really cried there)

---------------------------------Random Stuffs---------------------------------------

Ugh...I'm actually digging out one of my Internet buddy's account. His name is Nicholas and I've actually dug out two of his accounts already...but however!!! His last account that contains all of his covers seems to be extremely difficult to find!

Oh well... I AM NOT GONNA GIVE UP!! Till I dig it up, I won't rest! (But I'm gonna go shower and sleep for now...haven't been sleeping for days due to projects/common tests)

I promise I will blog more. (Even though no one will read it haha.)
