Second day of work.
On Sunday morning. my friend gave me a call at around 5.35 am and told me that we're going to meet at 6 as we have to reach there early today.. I was kinda out of my mind and I competed against the speed of a moving bus. If it wasn't for that extra few seconds of passengers boarding the bus I would be so screwed LOL..
I can't say that I'm exactly happy that day as the weather was so irritatingly hot,to make things worst, the stuffy room was filled with suffocating fumes produced by the ever renewing cigarettes.
The uncle who assign us work to do, grouped me and another 4 guys accompanied with two adults. We transported bottles of water and some loud speakers which amounted to more than what I could afford. Thinking back, I was definitely overjoyed to get out of that room xD. But not for long.
I sat in the open area of a truck and I was so please with the strong gush of air that brushes my face.I've never sat in the open area of a truck before thus I was extremely delighted when I found out that I was going to sit in one.
When we finally reached our destination we unloaded all our 'cargo' and then set them into a trolley which would be transported to the insides of a sports stadium.
Ah here comes the hard part LOL...working under the scorching afternoon sun from 1pm to 3.30pm was no joke. We set up tents around the stadium's track and transported tables and chairs under them. The tents was so heavy that I bit into my lower lip when I tried to forcefully carry one by myself. It takes four people to set up one tent too and it was pretty exhausting.
Finally when everything's over we returned to the room and after another free hour or so the day of hard work was over. I took a bus home and alighted somewhere in the middle where I search for a fast food restaurant in which I could dine in. After getting lost for half an hour, I finally found LONG JOHN SILVER!! xDDD... I was sooooo thirsty and irritated that I ordered 2 sets of meal which summed out to 9 dollars. A part of me know very well that I was irritated solely because of that emptiness I felt.
Third day of work.
Today I woke up earlier and took a somewhat long shower thinking of what happened on the second day of my work which was the day before today. Slapping myself lightly on my cheeks I whispered jia you jia you to myself.
Today was harsher but fortunately I didn't have to work under the sun. After completing all the work I was assigned to, I wobbled back to the room feeling as weak as a pudding.
My friend left first with his other friends and I went to the nearby changing toilet where I took my refreshing bath there. I was so relieved when I finally got out of my filthy clothes after which I bathed then changed into the clean ones.
I ordered laska and waited for quite some time. During that long wait which seems to last for an eternity ,I felt..sad, my chest feels tight, I feel breathless, every part of my body ached and called out to me, but what hurt me most was the idea of eating alone. The sides of my eyes dampened and then realisation hit me hard, I was in the public, without even a second to waste I forced a yawn and pretended that the moisture was from the yawning which then I wiped away. After slurping down the bowl of laska I went to a nearby supermarket and purchased a carrot fruit juice drink which then I tried to get myself drunk from it in the bus. To forget all those terrible feeling that is suffocating me.
